Three things decide whether extended coverage makes sense on any vehicle: how long past the factory warranty you will keep it, what its expensive failure modes are, and what the coverage costs relative to one of those repairs. Each make page gives you those three for that brand. Two guides sit underneath all of them: what a powertrain warranty actually covers (and what it leaves out), and when the honest answer is that you don't need one.
One caution: the factory terms on these pages are summarized from each manufacturer's published Canadian materials. We do our best to keep them correct, but manufacturers revise them and errors can happen — the owner's manual or warranty booklet that came with your vehicle governs, so please verify against it before you rely on anything here.
