When does the Honda factory warranty actually run out?
For a driver covering 20,000 km a year the basic warranty and the kilometre limit expire together at three years; the powertrain warranty follows at five. Higher-mileage drivers hit the kilometre limits first: at 30,000 km a year, the Distributor's Warranty is gone at two years and the powertrain warranty at three years and four months.
One Honda-specific point: the Power Train Warranty is transferable to a second owner, but only if the transfer is registered with Honda. If you are buying a used Honda under five years old, ask the seller or a dealer to confirm the registration — it changes what you need to cover.

Honda Plus is Honda Canada's umbrella protection brand; the extended warranty inside it is the Honda Plus Extended Warranty, sold by Honda dealers, with repairs done at Honda dealers using Honda parts. Safety recalls are repaired free by Honda regardless of warranty status and are not listed here.
